This role is critical in managing and optimizing the procurement processes specifically related to IT assets, software, services, and infrastructure during and post-M&A activities. The ideal candidate will have a deep understanding of the IT procurement landscape, exceptional negotiation skills, and the ability to drive cost efficiencies while ensuring alignment with the company’s strategic goals.
Key Responsibilities:
M&A Integration: Support the IT procurement activities related to M&A, including due diligence, integration planning, and execution. Ensure seamless transition and integration of IT systems and services.
Vendor Management: Develop and maintain strong relationships with key IT vendors and service providers. Negotiate contracts, manage vendor performance, and ensure compliance with agreed terms.
Strategic Sourcing: Identify, evaluate, and select suppliers based on quality, cost, and reliability. Conduct market research to stay updated on industry trends and best practices.
Contract Management: Oversee the creation, negotiation, and management of IT contracts. Ensure all agreements are compliant with company policies and legal requirements.
Cost Optimization: Analyse and identify opportunities for cost savings and process improvements in IT procurement. Implement strategies to optimize spend and enhance value.
Risk Management: Assess and mitigate risks associated with IT procurement, including supplier risks, contractual risks, and compliance risks.
Collaboration: Work closely with IT, finance, legal, and other departments to ensure procurement activities align with organizational objectives and M&A goals.
Reporting & Analytics: Develop and maintain procurement performance metrics and reports. Provide insights and recommendations based on data analysis.
Policy Development: Contribute to the development and implementation of procurement policies, procedures, and best practices.
Qualifications:
Education: Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology, Business Administration, Supply Chain Management, or a related field. A Master’s degree or relevant certification (e.g., CPSM, CIPS) would be ideal.
Experience: Minimum of 7-10 years of experience in IT procurement, with at least 3-5 years focused on M&A activities.
Skills:
Technical Proficiency: Familiarity with procurement software and tools. Proficiency in MS Office Suite (Excel, Word, PowerPoint) and ERP systems.
