Job description

Infosys is seeking an experienced AWS Administrator with DevOps Skills. This position’s primary responsibility would be to create AWS infrastructure, working with Architectures and Client IT team to optimize the AWS infrastructure and working with development teams to create the deployment pipelines and deploy the code to AWS using GIT workflows. Required Qualifications:

• Bachelor’s degree or foreign equivalent required from an accredited institution, will consider work experience in lieu of a degree.

•U.S. citizens and those authorized to work in the U.S. are encouraged to apply. We are not able to sponsor at this time.

• Candidate must be located within commuting distance of Goleta, CA or be willing to relocate to the area.

• At least 4 years of Relevant Information Technology experience.

• Knowledge and experience with full SDLC lifecycle

• Providing status and issue reports to the project manager/client on a regular basis

• Advising clients on options, risks, and any impacts on other processes or systems

• Developing end-user documentation and training materials

• Effectively communicating and driving project deliverables

• Should have excellent analytical and interpersonal skills

• Completing tasks efficiently and in a timely manner

• Should have knowledge on Incident management and Problem management

• Around 4 years of AWS Administration experience

Preferred Qualifications:

•Creating and managing infrastructure using various AWS cloud services.

• Creating automation scripts for provisioning, decommissioning, deploying services, and patching.

• Working with AWS support to escalate the problems to find the product limitation solutions.

• Identifying potential scaling issues and help define how to monitor and fix them

• DevOps (Implementing CI/CD pipelines on AWS) experience,

• Delivering continuous improvement of scripts and templates for reproducible deployments.

• Expert Knowledge of Amazon Web Services IaaS / PaaS

• CloudFormation, (Infrastructure as Code), Elastic Beanstalk, ECS (Orchestrating Containers), OpsWorks(Automate Operations), CodeDeploy, CodePipeline, CodeCommit (Implementing CI/CD pipelines on AWS)

• Knowledge on TCP/IP, NFS, NIS, DNS, DCE/DFS, LDAP, LPAR, SNMP, Workload balancing, Power5 virtualization.

• Knowledge of shell scripting (Bash, sed, awk, etc)).

• Strong CLI and API technology use experience (e.g. PowerShell, Python, Ruby, Bash, YAML or JSON)

• Deep understanding of IP Networking (TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP, SSL/TLS, etc.)

• Design, develop, manage and support AWS & based Solutions.

• Experience in migrating on-premise solutions/applications to Cloud

• Manage proof of concepts, exploratory projects to identify, evaluate and eventually adopt most suitable Cloud Computing (Public & Private Clouds, IaaS, PaaS and SaaS) model.

• Familiarity with Oracle, Apache, Samba, MySQL, PostgreSQL.

• AWS certification would be an added advantage.

• Strong written and verbal communication skills

The job entails sitting as well as working at a computer for extended periods of time. Should be able to communicate by telephone, email or face to face. Travel may be required as per the job requirements.
